IUI with donor sperm is infertility treatment method, when donor sperm sample is passed into the woman’s uterus. Intrauterine insemination with donor sperm is mainly used is case of male infertility. This treatment method can also be used by a single healthy woman in reproductive age.
Indications for IUI with donor sperm :
- azoospermia;
- ejaculation disorder;
- a high risk for the child to inherit a genetic disease from the father;
- severe male infertility.
Sperm donors are young men 20-40 years old with no hereditary genetic diseases, urological, sexually transmitted or other known diseases. All sperm donors are carefully investigated – the procedure excludes the transmission of HIV, syphilis, hepatitis and other infections to a woman planning a pregnancy.
